You failed to mention the largest mass murder by guns in US history committed by our troops at wounded knee where between 300 to 500 Lakota Indians were massacred by the federal government. But of course the media refuses to look at that shooting. Some of my relatives were Lakota, Cherokee and Creek so I take offense to the slaughter of innocent natives. Choosing to ignore our complicated history with minority groups while looking to oppress others will continue to shore up the fractured and schizophrenic American psyche that explodes in violent episodes way too often.
