As only Meatloaf can tell this story and sing the song behind it. I am sure this has happened to all of us at one time or another. I know it happened to me, but it wasn’t a female. I had been dating this boy for about a month and I went to see him. He put this song on, but the words he said to me were I hate you, I hate you, I never ever loved you. Then his mother escorted me out of the house. I learned a valuable lesson that day and it was not all relationships in the gay community work out either.

I went to school the next day and I was down in the dumps. My cousin said to me what’s wrong? I told her and she said lets go across the street to the park and talk. She said I am sorry you are hurting, but you are a kind, sensitive and beautiful person don’t ever stop being that way. She said break ups happen in the heterosexual world as well, remember your parents? She said the reason this hurts so bad is because there are fewer gays to choose from. She kissed my cheek and said we have ten minute before the bell rings and please dry your tears. As we got to the school grounds she said show me your beautiful smile and I did. She kissed my cheek again and told me to have a good day.
