This was a very well written article. Most people don't know what it's like to live abroad. I was stationed in Germany from 1979 to 1981, so for two and a half years of my life, I lived in Germany. I would go home on leave, but when the plane took to return me back to Germany the emptiness set in again. The depression of being away from home yes but being in the military in a high stress position as I was, made it even worse. Again, I loved your article.
