The sound of music

The hills are alive with the sound of music! That was the song our tour guide played on the train from Munich, Germany to Salzburg, Austria. The first stop we made was where the Von Trapp family lived, and then visited the catholic church and then the catacombs where the family and kids had hidden. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was really into the presentation of facts. We also saw where Beethoven lived and many other sites.

Salzburg is an absolutely beautiful city. I loved the mountainside which sits close to the home of the Vonn Trapp’s. It was absolutely gorgeous and the castle on top with the steps leading too it.

I love travelling and photography. I love the city I grew up in, but some of the international cities I have been to are absolutely beautiful. I learned a lot about the Austrian people. They were extremely friendly, including the worker at McDonalds who went through the trash to find my debit card. That was a generous offer by her. My daughter accidentally threw away my debit card.
