You said I do to your husband, he was wearing combat boots and fatigues. One hour after your reception he had to hop on a helicopter to Felucia, Iraq. You start to worry, but this will be be his first deployment of many. It is two weeks before you hear from your husband. You are ready to kill him but he had warned you communication would be limited. You talk to him and it brightens your mood, puts a smile on your face. He comes home in six months for two weeks, you spend a lot of time together and he tells you that it is time for you and him to make preparations to move. You live in Fargo, ND and you have been reassigned to Ft. Benning, GA and you have two weeks to be there. You are shocked, dumb founded. He says the movers will be here the day before you leave.

You arrive at Benning, you receive the keys to your housing. When housing is turned over to you, you are advised this is the condition the house has to be returned in.

After your house is set up, any nail hole you make you have to fill when you move so you look for stick on items that won’t damage the walls. You say well we are home, one good thing about being in the military is you don’t have to change your tags when you move to a different state. You meet new neighbors and start becoming friends with a few of them. It is hard for you because some of the people you become friends with are being transferred, soon your turn will come. About three weeks before your eighteenth month your husband receives orders for Germany. Luckily you and your children have their passports…
