Some of my favorite songs while growing up, Part 1

Like many of us we all had favorite songs when we grew up. I had so many that I won’t be able to name them all in one setting. So many great bands and groups from that time period. I will be doing a series of my favorite songs. This will be a mixed genre between pop and country. These appear in no particular order.

First song is by Simon and Garfunkel. It is Bridge over troubled water, live in concert.

This song has personal significance to me. After being constantly bullied all week at school, I went to my boyfriend’s house. He had just received the album with this song on it and he put it on the record player. He played the song, laid down beside me, held me too him as he kissed and dried my tears away.

Second song is by the Animals, called the House of the rising sun. This song came out when I was three, but as I aged it became one of my favorites.
