My stay in Reykjavik Iceland

Aurora Borealis in Iceland

I took a flight to Munich from Boston. I had a layover in Reykjavik, Iceland of twenty-three hours. I had two choices as to what to do with my time. I could either sit in the airport with my daughter and do nothing or we could tour the island of Iceland.

We opted to tour the island. We took a cab and went to all of the sites, then went to see the whales. What we found interesting was we landed at midnight and the sun was just setting and at four in the morning the sun was coming up. We didn’t get to see the lights of the Aurora Borealis in Iceland.

I can say that Iceland is a very beautiful country. The next year I connected through Iceland again, but we were going to London. We had a three hour lay over, not much time to do anything, so we sat in the airport. I had to keep an eye on my daughter, she saw a hot looking pilot and followed behind him until I made her quit. She said he was hot and I agreed, besides I told her he was mine not hers. She said Too Much Information.

If you book on Iceland air to any where in Europe, you can stay in Iceland for an additional five days at no additional charge. Now that’s a great deal.
