Jason is slowly adapting to being in foster care, however; he is still hurting about Mr. Jackson. Despite having two gay foster parents, he really hadn’t developed a bond or trust with them yet. Jason hasn’t built up trust with his psychiatrist either. Jason feels alone, isolated with no where to turn. His foster dads take him places to see if he will open up to them, but Jason only clams up the more they try. But things are about to take an even more sinister, evil turn for Jason. One that will shatter his confidence and trust even more.

One night while the family was returning home from an outing, their car was hit head on by a drunk driver. It killed the foster parents instantly. The fire department had to use the jaws of life to get the two older children out. Jason had to be cut out of the car, he was the worse of the three children. The police had social services meet the ambulance at the hospital. The police officers gave all three children teddy bears. Jason was taken to the hospital by flight for life.

Mrs. Evans, Jason’s case worker met him at the hospital. She also called and advised his biological parents of the accident. Jason was rushed right into surgery. They had to remove his spleen to stop the bleeding. Still heavily sedated after surgery, the advised that it would take time for Jason to come out of sedation.
