I loved your article. But I didn't realize that saying things like my condolonces would be offensive. I don't force my beliefs on anyone. When people start talking to me about God I ask them where was your God during the holocaust? Where was he when I was being beaten and raped by my mothers boyfriends? I say for that I don't believe. I say I am not an athiest, I just don't believe. So I understand how upsetting it is to you because it's the same for me. I hear all the time here at the homeless shelter. They say Lawrence we will pray for you, and I say thank you but I don't believe in the power of prayer.

I respect your beliefs.
