As a white man I have never been prejudiced towards anyone. When I was eight, I had a school friend that I wanted him to meet my friend the garbage man who happened to be black. When the garbage showed, my school friend said he's not your friend that's a nigger. Exact words. I hate that word but had to put there. I walked away, in tears. The next week, I had nothing to do with the kid from school ever again. I saw my friend the garbage man and he asked where was my little friend and I said he wasn't my friend because of what he said about you last week,

The slaves were brought to America by England..

Lincoln who wrote the Emancipation Proclomation held these beliefs about blacks. Though Lincoln argued that the founding fathers’ phrase “All men are created equal” applied to Black and white people alike, this did not mean he thought they should have the same social and political rights. His views became clear during an 1858 series of debates with his opponent in the Illinois race for U.S. Senate, Stephen Douglas, who had accused him of supporting “negro equality.”

In their fourth debate, at Charleston, Illinois, on September 18, 1858, Lincoln made his position clear. “I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and Black races,” he began, going on to say that he opposed Black people having the right to vote, to serve on juries, to hold office and to intermarry with whites.

The blacks have had to fight for everything including education. There was the landmark cases of Pleasi vs Ferguson and Brown vs the Board of Education.

There is still slavery going on today. There are slave markets in the Arab world.

I remember as a child playing on the farm with some of the children of the share croppers that lived there. They were all black. My great grandparents took extreme risks to teach the kids and adults how to read, write and do basic math..

My grandfather signed for a bleack man to buy his house because the VA said he didn't qualify with a 750 credit score. My grandfather thought the VA was wrong and stood for what's right. My great Uncle Robert E Lee only fought with the south due to his loyalty to VA and his sons were fighting with the sout. He didn't want to fight his sons in combat. I had family members fight on both sides of the civil war and I am very proud of both sets of ancestors.

What I am saying is not every white you see is a racist. I have been called that by blacks so many times. I worked in customer service for the airlines. Every time I would enforce a policy that applied to everyone, the black passengers would call me a racist, especially if they were going to miss a flight. I don't like the black on black killing in Chicago by gangs. It is wrong. Let's start protesting that and speaking against that.
